We have already secured media interest from: GMTV BBC Tomorrows World BBC News 24 BBC Sky at night BBC Look North Yorkshire Television and Tyne Tees Independent Television News Independent Radio News Local BBC Radio Stations Various local and national newspapers Press Association We aim due to the unusual nature of this project and the race, that we will gain a high level of national and international media interest. We aim to raise in the region of £100,000 in 1999. This will enable us to launch our next single stage rocket and start the building of our first 3 stage rocket, with the aim of launching it in the year 2000 and reaching far in excess of 200,000 feet. This will then be followed by a 3 stage rocket designed to achieve in excess of 360,000 feet (the beginnings of true space. We already have a number of companies and individuals who are providing sponsorship in kind, so it is our intention to channel all sponsorship through our PR consultants to ensure all sponsors gain the maximum advertising and PR opportunity depending on their level of involvement. This is also to ensure that we do not have any clashes of interests between sponsors. We are also very keen to work with your marketing departments and PR consultants to ensure we all achieve our goal of a high level of media coverage.
