Joining The Society
Would you like to join in the space race and become part of the first amateur team to put a rocket in space? The aim of the X-2000 Space programme is to design build and launch the first amateur rocket capable of putting a 15kg satellite into space. We also have the dream of becoming the first group to put three men into space to win the X Prize. The aim of the club is to help raise awareness of our intention to put a rocket into space and to give enthusiasts the opportunity to join the space race and become part of our record breaking team. As a member of the club you will be entitled to the following: Bi-monthly News letter Notification and invitation to tests and launches Exclusive previews of each rocket The opportunity to help at launches Certificate of membership Membership card The opportunity to come behind the scenes and get involved in design, building and launches. Regular club meetings where you can get the chance to talk to like minded individuals Entry into a competition for each launch to get the chance to launch the rocket Full insurance cover for tests and launches The cost of membership is £50.00 per year. All profits of the White Rose Rocket Society go towards the funding of the X-2000 Space Programme. Donations towards the project would also be gratefully received as we have the daunting task of raising £650,000 towards the construction costs over the next two years. We are also looking for individuals who have skills which would help us to move towards our ultimate aim of putting the first amateur rocket into space.
